Athletic Trainers

Athletic trainers work directly with athletes and physically active individuals to prevent, diagnose, and treat injuries related to muscles, bones, and joints. They spend their days evaluating injuries on the field or court, developing rehabilitation programs, and teaching proper techniques to avoid future problems. When an athlete gets hurt during practice or competition, athletic trainers are often the first medical professionals on the scene, providing immediate care and deciding whether someone can safely continue or needs additional medical attention.
