What They Do

Floral designers transform flowers, greenery, and decorative elements into beautiful arrangements for weddings, funerals, holidays, and everyday occasions. They consult with customers to understand the purpose of each arrangement, preferred colors, budget, and delivery details, then select appropriate flowers and materials to bring these visions to life. Throughout the day, they cut stems, strip leaves, wire flowers for support, and arrange blooms in vases, baskets, wreaths, and bouquets using principles of color theory and design. They also care for inventory by keeping flowers fresh in coolers, processing new shipments, and discarding wilted stock.
