Industrial Engineering Technologists and Technicians

Industrial engineering technicians work closely with engineers to optimize manufacturing processes and improve workplace efficiency. They spend much of their time on factory floors and in production facilities, observing operations, collecting data, and identifying opportunities for improvement. A typical day might involve conducting time and motion studies to measure how long specific tasks take, analyzing workflow patterns to eliminate bottlenecks, or testing new production layouts before full implementation. They use specialized software and measuring tools to document their findings and create detailed reports for engineering teams.
