What They Do

Transit and railroad police officers patrol railway stations, train yards, transit facilities, and rail lines to ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and property. They walk through stations and ride aboard trains and buses to prevent and respond to crimes ranging from theft and vandalism to assault and terrorism threats.
