Throughout their shifts, they control the speed and direction of conveyors, start and stop equipment as needed, and make adjustments to ensure materials flow smoothly without jams or backups. They watch for damaged items or equipment malfunctions, performing basic maintenance tasks like lubricating moving parts, replacing worn belts, and clearing blockages.
