Helpers--Painters, Paperhangers, Plasterers, and Stucco Masons

Helpers in painting and finishing trades work alongside skilled tradespeople on residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites. They mix paints, plaster, and stucco to the right consistency, making sure materials are ready when craftworkers need them. These helpers set up scaffolding and ladders, lay out drop cloths to protect floors and furniture, and transport supplies and equipment around job sites. They hold materials steady while painters apply finishes or plasterers smooth surfaces. After the main work is complete, they clean brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, dispose of used materials properly, and tidy work areas.
