Budget analysts spend their days working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial data to help organizations make smart spending decisions. They review budget proposals from different departments, checking calculations for accuracy and ensuring requests align with organizational priorities and available funds. Much of their time involves analyzing financial reports, identifying trends in spending patterns, and forecasting future budget needs based on historical data and upcoming projects.
