Chemistry Teachers, Postsecondary

Chemistry teachers at colleges and universities spend their days helping students understand everything from basic molecular structures to advanced synthetic techniques. They prepare and deliver lectures, create laboratory experiments, and guide students through complex chemical concepts in both classroom and hands-on settings. Beyond teaching, they hold office hours to answer questions, grade assignments and exams, and provide feedback on lab reports. Many also supervise undergraduate research projects where students conduct original experiments.
