What They Do

Engineering professors spend their days teaching undergraduate and graduate students about the principles and applications of various engineering disciplines, from chemical and mechanical to electrical and civil engineering. They prepare and deliver lectures, lead laboratory sessions where students apply theoretical concepts to hands-on projects, and guide students through complex problem-solving exercises. Beyond the classroom, these professors develop course curricula, create assignments and exams, and hold office hours to provide individual support to students struggling with challenging material.
