What They Do

Web developers build and maintain websites and web applications that people use every day, from simple landing pages to complex e-commerce platforms and social media sites. They spend their days writing code in languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various backend programming languages, translating design mockups into functional websites. Much of their work involves problem-solving—debugging code that isn't working correctly, figuring out why a website looks different across browsers, or determining the best way to structure a database. They collaborate regularly with designers, project managers, and clients to understand requirements and provide updates on progress.
