Special education teaching assistants work directly with students who have various learning, emotional, or physical disabilities, providing crucial one-on-one or small group support throughout the school day. In the classroom, they might read instructions aloud, break down complex tasks into manageable steps, or use specialized equipment and technology designed for students with disabilities.
