Insurance sales agents help individuals and businesses protect themselves against financial losses by selling various types of insurance policies. They spend their days meeting with potential clients to assess their needs, explaining different coverage options, and recommending policies that best fit each customer's situation. These agents work with products ranging from auto and home insurance to life, health, and business coverage. Much of their time involves building relationships with clients, answering questions about policy terms and premiums, and processing applications.
